Terms of service

These terms govern your use of LawnCaring ("the Service"), operated by LawnCaring, Inc. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Plain-language summary: You pay for lawn care as a gift. We match a vetted pro. Recipients can decline. Refunds are straightforward.
The service
LawnCaring connects buyers with independent lawn care professionals ("pros") for the purpose of gifting lawn care to a third-party recipient. LawnCaring is not a lawn care company — we are a gifting platform that coordinates vetted, insured pros.
Placing an order
- You provide a recipient address and select a service cadence (one-time or recurring).
- We measure the lawn from satellite imagery and quote a price.
- You are charged at checkout. Recurring orders are charged after each completed visit.
- You may cancel unstarted visits at any time for a full refund.
Recipient consent
Recipients are notified via a printed card (mailed) and an SMS message before the first visit. Recipients may decline the gift at any time by replying STOP. If a recipient declines:
- All future visits are cancelled immediately.
- You receive a full refund for any unperformed visits.
- The recipient is not contacted again.
Pro relationship
Pros are independent contractors, not employees of LawnCaring. Each pro carries general liability insurance (minimum $300,000) and has passed a background check through Checkr. LawnCaring coordinates scheduling, payment, and quality assurance.
Pricing
- Prices are based on measured lot size and local market rates.
- The price shown at checkout includes mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
- Card printing and SMS handling are included in the price.
- Taxes are calculated and shown at checkout.
- Prices for recurring plans are locked for the duration of the plan.
Refunds and cancellations
- Before first visit: Full refund, no questions asked.
- Recipient declines: Full refund for all unperformed visits.
- Weather cancellation: Visit is rescheduled automatically. No charge for cancelled visits.
- Quality issue: Contact us within 48 hours. We will either re-send a pro or refund the visit.
- Mid-plan cancellation: Remaining unperformed visits are refunded. No cancellation fee.
Liability
LawnCaring carries general liability insurance covering property damage and bodily injury during service. If a pro damages property during a visit, contact us within 48 hours and we will coordinate repair or replacement at no cost to you.
LawnCaring is not responsible for pre-existing lawn conditions, HOA violations unrelated to our service, or damage caused by weather events.
Intellectual property
The LawnCaring name, logo, leaf mark, and website content are the property of LawnCaring, Inc. Your gift notes remain yours. After-visit photos are licensed to you and the recipient for personal use.
Modifications
We may update these terms. Active buyers will be notified by email before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Greenville County, SC.
